Is the training really 100% free through WIOA?
For most people who qualify, yes! WIOA (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act) assistance through the Kentucky Career Center – Green River can cover your tuition, books, fees, and required course supplies 100% through an Individual Training Account (ITA) — so you pay $0 out of pocket. Many Green River residents qualify, and the eligibility review is a friendly, no-pressure conversation with a Career Advisor. Important: HCTI does not determine WIOA eligibility or approve funding — we submit the referral to KCC-Green River on your behalf so you can apply for ITA funding. We handle the paperwork so you don't have to.
How does HCTI walk me through the referral process?
Once you submit your 2-minute pre-application, our team reviews your program choice and issues your official HCTI Conditional Approval Letter. We then submit your WIOA referral to the Kentucky Career Center – Green River Workforce Development Board on your behalf, guide you through any questions the Career Coach has, and assist with any school documentation required to finalize your funding.
